This strain has fast become one of the most popular and well-known amongst recreational smokers. It is a newer strain, appearing first in the mid-1990s as an Indica-Sativa hybrid meant almost exclusively for indoor and hydroponic cultivation. It produces an average number of buds, but is so heavy with THC that it’s hard to quantify the differences. White Widow flowers for about 8 or 9 weeks, grows to a short height of only 60-80 centimeters, and has a very powerful, energetic, and long-lasting buzz. This is also one of the most expensive marijuana options. It is not often prescribed specifically, though it may be prescribed for some needs wherein the physician believes that a stronger relief is required. Compared to some other, deeper highs, however, it is not a potent painkiller or relaxer, despite it’s heavy THC levels. It is most often given for cachexia, Hepatitis C, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
